in the Victorian era, corsets were "thicker" in the breast area, so through the corset the breasts didn't have much definition, however, the way it hugged the woman's body gave her breasts a more perky look. - with that being said, the anatomy in this piece is spot on - but, in the Victorian era, women (especially those of Royalty) wore their hair in curls, and most often you would see her hair in an elegant (optionally braided) bun, or a braided "crown" at the base of the bun.

Although my only legitimate complaint with this piece would be the coloring itself. Women in the Victorian era, especially those of Royalty, her gown would take on a more "pastel" color, sort of an eggshell color was most common - and the delicate, regal design in the embroidery throughout the gown is what made the gown most elegant. (The gown here would fit for a Renaissance painting, though.)

And though this painting is shaded, (which I will refer back to in a moment), the coloring makes the drawing itself seem flat - in reality, when it comes to light, nothing is ever the exact same shade, color, or hue throughout its being, it's not easy to explain, but if you observe for yourself, explanation won't be necessary.

SO HERE'S WHAT I GOT FOR YOU, KIDDO.
I. Don't be afraid of colors. go nuts. the world is your oyster.
II. When shading, keep in mind the light source itself, and the "bounce light" that could have an impact on whatever you're drawing.
III. Don't give up, don't beat yourself up if it doesn't look right to you, and don't compare yourself to other artists. You're capable of what you're capable of. You can't draw like Jimmy because you're not Jimmy. Jimmy can't draw like you because he's not you! You have your own unique style of drawing and that's so awesome!

But yeah that's my Critique.
